Accounting and Financial Analysis Manager

Description:

Join a dynamic team managing treasury and financial analysis functions within a healthcare setting in the Midwest region. This role involves overseeing reporting and analytics to equip leadership with critical financial insights for informed decision-making.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage treasury and financial analysis activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Develop and deliver custom and standard reports by identifying relevant datasets.
  • Contribute to liquidity, costing, and regulatory reporting analyses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on service pricing, overhead allocation, cost determination, and other financial metrics.
  • Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial plans, budgets, tax returns, and profit and loss statements.
  • Identify financial trends and report on organizational financial performance relative to expectations.
  • Research broader economic conditions and integrate findings into financial models.
  • Support a self-service financial reporting infrastructure for organizational leaders.
  • Maintain compliance with privacy and security regulations related to Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Foster effective communication and professional relationships with internal teams and external partners.
Education

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years in financial decision support or related roles is required. Experience in the healthcare industry and familiarity with regional healthcare financial regulations is a plus.

Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, cost accounting, and statistical analysis.
  • Ability to leverage technology for financial reporting, automation, and business intelligence.
  • Excellent communication skills to present complex data effectively to leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities focused on continuous improvement.
  • Technical skills in data warehousing, programming, workflow automation, and relational databases.
  • Ability to work at a computer workstation for extended periods.

Physical Requirements

Light work involving occasional exertion up to 25 lbs and frequent exertion up to 10 lbs. Standing or walking may be required 11-25% of the day.
