Job Description: Fitness Aide
Fitness Aide Job Summary: The fitness aide will perform a variety of clerical, cleaning and minor fitness duties.
Fitness Aide Essential Accountabilities:
• Perform minor clerical duties such as statement mailings, payments, and computer entries.
• Assist with the cleaning of all equipment.
• Be available to physically assist members with the proper use of the equipment.
• Provide basic supervision of the facility for safety and security.
• The aide must demonstrate a maturity level to work independently and in a positive helpful manner in assisting members and staff of all ages.
• Must be able to assist individuals of all ages verbally and physically when necessary.
• Positive, outgoing personality is a must.
• Ability to use good judgment and handle unexpected situations.
• Aide must have the ability to work in an area among several people with multiple interruptions and a moderate to high noise level.
• Other duties may be assigned as necessary within the capabilities of the fitness aide's knowledge and skills.
Fitness Aide Qualifications:
Education/Certifications/Experience:
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• CPR certification. This will be provided if not currently certified.
• Current computer skills necessary.
• Interest in wellness, exercise and helping others a must.
Age-Specific Skills: N/A
Environmental Surroundings:
Potential exposure to airborne diseases. The same as for any individual working in a hospital environment that is dependent on a ceiling ventilation system for in flow and out flow of air.
Fitness Aide Physical Working Conditions:
Sitting - _50__% of time
Walking/Standing - _50__% of time
