Your role will focus on conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, virtually supporting Veterans' benefits processes. Work independently from your own office within a 50-mile radius of your location, offering flexible scheduling options—whether half-day or full-day shifts—on a PRN ongoing basis. These exams are primarily interview-based, with some physical assessments such as range of motion or muscle strength testing. No prescribing or treatment is involved. The position includes quick credentialing and onboarding, making it accessible for qualified providers ready to contribute immediately. Required Skills: Medical degree (MD/DO) with current licensure in Missouri Experience in general medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery Ability to perform interview-based assessments and basic physical exams Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience with VA or military-related assessments Familiarity with compensation and pension evaluation processes Additional certifications in occupational health or related areas Prior telehealth or remote assessment experience Preferred Education and Experience: Medical degree (MD or DO) Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general or family medicine Experience with disability or pension evaluations preferred Previous work in a military or veteran healthcare setting is a plus Other Requirements: Candidates must own and operate their own office within the specified radius Willingness to work on a PRN basis, including some weekends if needed Ability to complete administrative follow-up work such as reports and addendums Local candidates only; travel and related expenses are included in rates No reimbursement for certifications or portal training prior to start Compensation & Benefits: Hourly flat rate of $800 for half-day (4 hours or less) Daily flat rate of $1,600 for full-day (5 hours) One-time bonus of $650 upon completing all required training and first exams Flexible work schedule with the option to select days and hours suitable to your availability Weekly pay, direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits (W-2), and paid sick leave Access to a 24/7 dedicated support team to ensure your success Licensure, certification, travel, and related reimbursements when applicable Seize this rewarding opportunity to serve Veterans in a meaningful way while enjoying competitive pay and flexible hours.
